The Posey County Economic Development Partnership helps attract and retain business by partnering with local and regional businesses and agencies that provide services that promote the community. Located 20 minutes west of Evansville, Ind., Posey County is home to SABIC Innovative plastics business, Astra-Zeneca, BWX Technologies, CountryMark and the Ports of Indiana-Mt. Vernon, the 7th largest inland port in the U.S.
As a center for advanced manufacturing, Posey County is also known for its plastics business, bio and life sciences, advanced logistics and energy with partners such as Vectren, Hoosier Energy and Duke Energy.
Other partners include: Indiana Economic Development Corporation; Indiana Department of Workforce Development; City of Mount Vernon; Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana; Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce; and, the Town of New Harmony.
